Wed. 15 Nov - Men’s 4-weeker stroke event 3rd round in A Grade was won by Geoff Vesey 79-14-63 with runner-up Richard Stone 83-15-67. Nearest the pin on 1st/10th was Willie Kifoto In B Grade Graham McKenzie had 93-23-69 to win whilst Alan Russ with a nett 72 was runner-up. Alan Russ’ drive on the 1st/10th earned him a nearest the pin as well.

Thu. 16 Nov - The women’s competition was abandoned due to persistent rain.

Sun 19 Nov - Men’s stroke competition including Medal of Medalists. A grade winner was Richard Stone with 78-16-62 on a count-back from Rocky Dimieri, Don O’Meara and Kurt Rixon. Note that Don O’Meara played in the chicken run on Friday and had 19 points – however, there were not enough competitors to pay for the chicken- so maybe he won a drumstick!
B grade winner was Dick McGrath with 89-28-63 and runner-up was Daven Ivens with 84-19-65 Nearest the pins for A Grade on both 1st/10th and 9th/18th was Ken Johnson. In B Grade, Dick McGrath was not only nearest the pin on 1st/10th but he took out the coveted medal of medallist trophy with his 63 nett.

Mon. 20 Nov - Women’s 9 hole stroke was played in very foggy humid weather. The winner was Sally Stone with 53-17-36 nett and runner-up was Adele Rowarth with 37 nett. The putting trophy was shared by Sandra Toone and Caroline Wren who couldn’t even be separated by a count-back.

Chicken run Fridays.

There will be a twilight golf competition on December 1st 9-hole 4 person Ambrose, make up your own team or just put your name down. 5 pm for 5.30 – bar open, BBQ supplied. December 2nd is closing day with a mixed competition and dinner to follow $20 per person. Names on list at the bar please.

Please list your name for the Women’s dinner on Thursday 14th December and pay Women’s treasurer on or before 30th November.
