Swimming Sports Results; Annual Indigenous Camp; Surf Lifesaving Competition @ Torquay

ab-p12c

I'm sure you have all been counting down the sleeps from last week to hear the results of the Swimming Sports and here they are:

  1. Speculant – 638
  2. Casino – 596
  3. Rayville – 495

The annual Indigenous camp is on this week, with our VCAL students organising beach related activities for students sponsored by the Thathangathay Foundation. Thanks to Richard Collopy for taking the students on a walk to Blanket Bay, the Apollo Bay Bakery, Bay Leaf and Foodworks for their support in feeding the crew and the Apollo Bay Surf Club for hosting. The students are very excited to be able to swim in a body of water without crocodiles and killer stingers, although it's a touch colder than the Far Northern Territory.

A group of super Nippers head off to Torquay to compete in Surf Lifesaving competitions – hopefully they'll perform well against some very strong schools.
