1603 laser championCongratulations to Morgan Stewart who is now the female champion in the Victorian State Titles for the Laser 4.7 sailing dinghy. She also finished 4th overall – what an amazing result!

The year 3-6 students had a visit from Golf Victoria last week to introduce them to the art of hitting a small white ball with a thin metal club. No birdies or eagles, but plenty of near misses with magpies playing chicken at the end of the oval (boom boom).

A group of very excited year 2s have their first school camping experience – sleeping in tents in the Leisure Centre. They'll have free run of the school after hours, sizzle some sausages and won't get too much sleep – sorry and thank you to the accompanying teachers.

The Prep-2 students also have an incursion from the Australian Children's Theatre Association - a very spectacular mechanical clockwork island. Students will be able to interact with the display and help tell the story of the inhabitants.

We'll also have a visiting sculptor Dana Falcini and her assistant Maryanne Gatica working in the art room all week. They'll help students be part of making an installation piece in the Lorne Sculpture Biennale. Keep an eye out for MELT if you make the trip to Lorne.
