Staff PD/Student Free Day; Bricks Needed for VCAL Garden Bed; Old Electrical Things Also Wanted; THANK YOU; Literacy Day

A short week for students, sadly not so for staff who were busy continuing their work with Stephan Graham and how to teach writing across the curriculum on the 'student free day'. Stephen also worked in classes again across the P-10 areas so teachers could watch him in action (and quietly count how many times he said 'Do you see?' in one lesson, tee hee).

Our VCAL students, along with Chooka Murnane, Simon Witham and Burkey have been using the donated bricks to finish off a garden bed in the Community Garden. We are still in need of more bricks if you have any lying around!

Similarly if you have any old, unworking/ unwanted electrical things lying around, we have some very keen year 3&4 students who like to tinker around pulling things apart.

A randomly placed thank you to all of our terrific community and family volunteers who help keep our school ticking along. Canteen, Kitchen Garden, reading, laminating...you name it, we really appreciate your involvement.

Next Tuesday is Literacy Day – we will be a 'School of Rock', culminating in our own Rock Quiz after lunch, feel free to come and watch if you like. Dressed suitably as a music star for the occasion – Lady Gaga perhaps?
