13th February 2017
House Swimming Sports; Show Drawing Competition Winner; P-6 Open Morning; 2016 India Trip Presentation Evening; Yrs3&4 Intensive Swimming Program

Our annual house swimming sports were held today with students in year 3-12 participating in the various events. The 25m doggy paddle was a hotly contended event as was the staff vs Year 12 race. Speculant was crowned victor, followed by Casino and then Rayville. A very big thank you to Carmel Permazel for running our canteen on the day.

Lyra Philp was named the winner of the Apollo Bay and District Agricultural Show drawing competition. Her picture of a chook appears on this year’s handbook along with artwork from a previous year. And no, I was not on the judging panel!

Next Tuesday the 21st of February is our first P-6 open morning from 9-10am, please come along if you would like to see your child/ren in action.

If you’d like to see what our International Trip students got up to in India and the Maldives they invite all interested community members to a presentation evening on Tuesday 28th February 7pm at the footy club. Light supper provided.

Year 3/4 students complete their intensive swimming program this week and the improvement in their skill and confidence was outstanding. We would like to thank Elise Crea and Brendan & Pauline Murnane who helped us throughout the program.
