Best Value Review of Council’s Aged and Disability Services – Information Sessions

At its meeting on Wednesday 3 May 2023, Council resolved to undertake a Best Value Review of Council’s aged and disability services in response to the Commonwealth Government changes to aged care that will be implemented from 1 July 2025.
As part of Council’s community engagement commitment, clients, their families, staff and community members were invited to complete a survey to provide their views and thoughts on the changes. They have also been invited to make a submission if they chose to, regarding the provision of current and future aged and disability services, and the barriers to living independently in the Colac Otway Shire municipality. This survey has now closed, and we thank everyone who contributed. We would like to offer further opportunities for community members to meet with Colac Otway Shire Council staff to discuss and learn more about the Commonwealth Government’s aged care reforms and ask any questions about Council’s Best Value Review.
Drop-in information sessions will be held in Apollo Bay and Colac for interested community members to find out more.
