Colac Otway provisional election results announced

Colac Otway Shire constituents have elected four new Councillors and re-elected three previous Councillors in the 2016 local government elections.
The members of the new Council are Kate Hanson, Stephen Hart, Joe McCracken, Chris Potter, Jason Schram, Chris Smith and Terry Woodcroft.
The election results were provisionally announced yesterday, with the official declaration to take place on Wednesday at COPACC.
Chief Executive Officer Sue Wilkinson congratulated the incoming councillors and said the organisation was looking forward to working with them.
"We have an exciting mix of fresh ideas and approaches, as well as proven experience in the group," Ms Wilkinson said.
"Our new Councillors are clearly very passionate about the shire and committed to their roles representing the needs and views of our community.
"My team has prepared an extensive induction process for our new Council that will help them become familiar with their roles and support them to be successful as a team."
The Council will elect a Mayor and Deputy Mayor at a special meeting on 9 November.
Their first ordinary Council meeting will take place on 23 November at Apollo Bay.
