Six Apollo Bay residents appointed to project control group
May 5, 2016

Colac Otway Shire Council has appointed six Apollo Bay residents to a project control group which will test the private sector's interest in investing in the Apollo Bay harbour redevelopment.

Andrew Buchanan, Tim Cobb, Peter Fillmore, Jane Gross, John Riches and John Verey will work with Council and government partners to develop an expression of interest process for the harbour which the private sector will then respond to.

Mayor Frank Buchanan said the project control group was time limited and task specific.

"Project control group members are there not to be a voice for any single community group, but to represent a diverse range of views," Cr Buchanan said.

"They will design the EOI content and also the process to put it out to market.

"An important part of the group's role will be to develop a process for targeted consultation with the extended community and other stakeholders.

"Lastly, they will assess the market responses to the EOI process, and develop options and recommendations for Council's consideration."
