Free Apollo Bay and Otways bus for This is Eden
October 18, 2019

Theatre lovers from Apollo Bay and the Otways can take advantage of chauffeur-driven access to

COPACC’s show This is Eden thanks to a grant covering bus transport to and from the performance on Thursday 7 November.

COPACC has obtained funding from the Victorian Government’s Full House Audience Development Program to provide a free bus service, as part of an initiative to help enhance our community’s access to theatre and build audiences.

This is Eden is shaping up as one of COPACC’s most thought-provoking pieces of theatre for 2019, which focuses on a shadowy era of Australia’s history in the Cascades Female Factory, Hobart Town in 1839.

In a Green Room nominated performance, Emily Goddard presents a provocative ‘anti-bonnet’ drama inspired by the rebellion and resistance of the female convicts of Van Diemen’s Land.

The free bus will depart Apollo Bay at 5.15pm on 7 November and collect passengers in Skenes Creek, Forrest, Barwon Downs and Birregurra on the way, arriving at COPACC in time to hear pre-show entertainment from Otta, a local two-piece featuring Josh Rigg and Toby Johnson.

COPACC Manager Tamzin McLennan said she hoped Apollo Bay and Otways residents would take advantage of the free bus and make a night of it.

“We have a great Otways-based band in Otta performing in the COPACC foyer before the show, so combined with This is Eden it is shaping up to be a fantastic night of entertainment,” she said.

This is Eden is showing at 7.30pm on Thursday 7 November at COPACC.   Tickets are $42 for adults, $37 concession and $31 for under 30s.

RSVPs for the free bus are essential.  For bookings or more information please contact COPACC on 5232 9418 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by Friday 1 November.
