Colac Otway Shire Council is seeking nominations to appoint Community Representatives to the Old Beechy Rail Trail Committee of Management

The Old Beechy Rail Trail Committee is a Special Committee of Council as constituted pursuant to Section 86 of the Local Government Act 1989.

The Old Beechy Rail Trail Committee’s purpose is to guide the management, maintenance, development and strategic planning for the Old Beechy Rail Trail.

As per the revised Instrument of Delegation & Charter, Council is currently seeking nominations in writing for appointment to the committee for up to five community representatives.

Nominations must outline the nominee’s contact details, previous committee experience, interest in the Old Beechy Rail Trail and any expertise that might be available to the committee. The period of appointment is up to three years. All proposed Old Beechy Rail Trail Committee members will need to be formally appointed to the Committee by Council resolution.

Applications open Friday 1 March 2019 and close on Monday 25 March 2019 at 5pm.
