Pet registrations overdue

Unpaid pet registrations are now overdue. Colac Otway Shire Council’s Compliance team will be following up unpaid pet registrations and conducting random property inspections. It’s not too late to avoid a fine.
Registrations can be paid now at one of Council’s customer service centres or online at Council’s website at www.colacotway.vic.gov.au and selecting the Make a Payment button on the homepage.
The cost of re-registering a dog is $25 and a cat is $20, if the animal is desexed and microchipped. Higher costs apply to animals which are not desexed.
Failure to register or re-register by April 10 can incur a $322 fine (per unregistered animal) as set by the State Government, plus the cost of registration.
