Fire Ready Apollo Bay

We had 85 people turnout for the Bushfire Planning Workshop on Saturday 18^th January run by the Country Fire Authority (CFA) Community Fireguard Facilitator Kylie McLaren. The session was aimed at helping people develop their own personal survival plans with a focus on preventative measures and keeping properties safe. Representatives from the CFA South West, Colac Otway Shire Council and Victoria Police attended and addressed issues such as Bushfire Places of Last Resort and on the need for respite venues for extreme heat days.

Rhonda Mahoney provides confidential Information and support for individuals, families and groups who are experiencing debt problems. Advice on debt management, negotiating with creditors and budgeting is available, as well as information on bankruptcy, credit laws and government assistance.
