Improved Television Coming to Apollo Bay

The regional television broadcasters Prime7, Nine and WIN together with SBS are improving television reception in Apollo Bay.

Regional Broadcasters Australia (RBAH) will complete the upgrade to the digital television services transmitting in the Apollo Bay area on 5 September 2016, delivering a substantial improvement to the local services.

As part of the upgrade all Apollo Bay viewers will need to retune their receivers as all broadcasters will change channels:

From the existing Channels- Prime 46, ABC 47, Nine 48, WIN 49, SBS 50

To the new Channels- SBS 34, ABC 35, Prime 36, WIN 37, Nine 38

The output power of the transmitters will also be increased to improve the coverage into Skenes Creek. Viewers in the Skenes Creek area may need to repoint their antennas to the Roberts Road, Marengo site.

  

On 5 September 2016 the channel change works will start at 05.00am, when all services will switch off for reconfiguration. Services will return on the new channels at 11.00am.
