Wed. 13 Apr ’16 – Men’s 4 Weeker 18 Hole Par – Round 1

A Grade – Winner – Richard Stone +4; Runner Up – Doug Honey +3

B Grade – Winner – Brian McKenzie +3; Runner Up – B Buckley +3 (on c/b)

NTP – A Grade – 1st/10th – Don Wagstaff, – 9th/18th – Richard Stone; – B Grade – 1st/10th – Brian McKenzie

Thu. 14 Apr – Women’s 18 Holes Stableford

It was a fine day for the event in which competitors were fined for minor “offences” in an effort to raise more money for “Cancer Day”. The money raised through fines, entry fees and donations from 16 players amounted to $205.90.

A Grade – Winner – Marriette Deppeler 36 points; Runner Up – Norma Begeley 35 points (c/b from Adele Rowarth)

B Grade – Winner – Jean Hansen 33 points; Runner Up – Caroline Wren 32 points

NTP – There was only one nearest the pin winner – Congratulations Helen Stevens! However, Vicki Hannah scored an Eagle on the 7th which was a pretty good effort.

Division 5 (Scratch) at Geelong - Queens Park lost To Apollo Bay 4/3

Division 6 (Handicap) at Queen’s Park - Apollo Bay drew with Inverleigh 2.5/2.5

A Grade – Winner – Val Flitton (“the indomitable”) 15 points; Runner Up – Kerryn Wagstaff on c/b

B Grade – Winner –Sami Oghuzan 22 points; Runner Up – Mariette Deppeler 19 points

Along with Janice McKenzie, two of our more recent members, Caroline Wren & Faith Morrissy managed to drive the 10th green – those practice sessions are paying off!
