Apollo Bay Discussion Group

The key underlying principles are that the discussions are informal and non-aligned; the meetings and discussions are totally informal and are not driven by any desire to reach consensus; the meetings are open to all – although we hope to attract a solid group of 30 to 40 year olds.

Our dinner meetings are generally held on the third Thursday of each month at a local venue.  We commence at 6.30pm and aim to finish at around 9.00pm or a little later depending on the liveliness of the discussion.

We ask you to arrive at 6.30pm to order your meal and be seated by 7pm.  Our speaker will commence as soon as we are all seated.  During the presentation we will listen but there will be no questions at this stage.  The meals will be presented at the conclusion of the presentation and as we eat we have the opportunity to discuss the talk around each of our tables.

Following the meal our desserts (if ordered) & coffees will arrive and we will engage in a general discussion with the speaker.

The discussion will be as open, as wide & varied as we want to make it around the content of the presentation.

Details of each monthly meeting will be advertised in the What's On on this website and are open to anyone, we just ask you to let Margaret know, see below.

Please let Margaret Murphy know, as soon as possible, whether you will be attending.  For more information and to book your place contact Margaret by This email address is being protected from spambots.
