Girl Sail Winners; Cyber Safety; Athletics; Festival of Small Halls
Firstly a huge congratulations to our Girls Sail competition group who sailed at Mt Eliza last weekend. Ella Summers and Harriet Deppeler took home the green ribbon in the Silver Fleet division and Morgan Stewart and Yoko Tripp performed well in the higher Gold Division. Their efforts meant our school brought home the overall winners’ cup, apparently the first time it has ever been won by a public school (hear us roar!). See this article for more information.
We also sailed into cyber safety (say that 5 times fast) for all of our students with a visit from the BAT Force. Thanks to the Apollo Bay and District Health Foundation for helping to fund this important program.
School Athletics Day is next Friday 16th of March which is also the day of the Festival of Small Halls. Dinner of dahl, veg curry, rice and flat breads, plus sweets and tea/coffee and alcohol are all available at the door. Please come along and support the Arts and the International Trip.
